I added the topic for you. As for the mod promotion, I haven't been an Admin here for a while now, so please ask Emerald103 first. I don't want to step on any toes. Considering the work you have done here, you might considering becoming an admin yourself (can't remember if I suggested this already or not). Emerald has the ability to promote you as well. Thanks.
Hey, Pinkachu. So, I've been trying to update the pages. Particularly, I'm replacing the gifs of executions and emotes with videos. But the title of the video shows up. This becomes problematic since I had to add extra to the title since there are some title repeats. So I want to hide the video title on the wiki page. Supposedly to do so I have to add the following line to the CSS
I'm looking for a person higher up in the works of the Fandom application for For Honor. This is the first time I been seriously offended. It wasn't a bystander like myself that insulted me. No, it was a discussion moderator. This is the first time I was truely offended by something and wished to take action. I've messaged Emerald, since the wiki says he is an admin for this wiki, but I am willing to try anyone else over these moderators, if you can even call them that anymore.
What are the requirements to become a Content Moderator in the For Honor Wiki? I have completely remade the Template:Gear template into a better Infobox for gear pages. I have added and edited pages for nearly all Centurion gear styles and am now working on Warden. To be able to take better care of all heroes' gear pages I will need more rights to stop the ones vandalising them.
I would like to be a moderator in the For Honor Wiki, there are so many ridiculous posts on there and nobody is doing a thing about it. So i have had a conversation with George Marbulcanti (Senior Technical Community Support Specialist) and he has sent me to you, if you could give me the tools needed to edit post etc, i would be thankfull.
Kind Regards, KnightOfTheRoundTabe

Hey, do you know how I can edit the read more icons at the bottom. I've recently reformatted the pages of all the warriors and included the Gif from the official website but now when they are shown in the read-more section they have some serious tearing (which is odd since when I first had the execution gifs they were fine). I've been trying to edit the pages so we get some less choppy read more pics but they refuse to change even if I replace the entire warrior's page with just the picture (you can look at the warden's history to see what I've been dabbling with.)
Short answer: Don't use gifs as the first image in an article.
Our system picks up the first image it sees on an article to use in the 'Read More' section. On your related pages (classes) you are using a gif. The 'read more' feature is taking those images and turning them into thumbnails to use in the snippets. Resizing a gif into a thumbnail and having it 'freak out' has been reported as an issue and it's something we are looking into. The only way around it for now is to avoid using gifs in the template as it is the first image on the articles.
Do you know how long it takes for the system to update itself?
I ask this because while dabbling to see how I can fix this I went as far as to replace the whole warden page with just a single warden image (reverted it once I was done) and it still showed the gif. I'm guessing this is because that part of the system has yet to update itself on the change.
I read that as long as the image meets the size requirements the display size does not matter so I'm thinking I can put a tiny dummy image before hand (too small to be seen).
It can take up to 24 hours, but generally it's quite a bit faster than that. Fixing the images on Warden isn't going to fix the gifs showing in the Read More on Warden. It will, however, fix the gif image for Warden that is being used on another class' article's Read More.
Right now, looking at Warden, the Read More is using thumbnails of the gifs in Raider, Conqueror and Peacekeeper. Those pages are using the gifs in the template. To fix it on Warden, you would have to change the image on those pages and potentially all of them that use a gif as the first image. At least until we can fix it internally. Using a small transparent pic could be a workaround unless our system has a min file size requirement to use in the "Read More". I don't know if it does or not could probably find out, provided your test doesnt work.
Since I'm still new at this I thought I should inform you that I've chosen to put the warlord page under protection. The warlord's weapon is listed as a gladius because that is what the website lists it as and the historical error is referenced in the trivia but a mass majority of the edits to the warlord page is always people trying to change the weapon listed. So I've put it under protection as unregistered users cannot edit it.
If you think this is overreacting tell me and I can undo it.
No, that's fine but just know that the website is not always updated in due time. The correct answer will always be whatever the game says. The game will be updated long before the website is - if it ever is. I have seen this with Paragon and other games. In-game information always wins. If the weapon has changed in the game, then put the Gladius in a 'patch update' section (if you know which patch) or in the Trivia (if it's not clarified there already) and mention it was the previous weapon.
Hi there, I've recently been pretty involved in the creation of the For Honor Wiki. My contributions mainly include the Gear page. I've seen the frequent vandalism that's been happening, and am wondering what responsibilities moderators and admins have, and if I might qualify for either of those so as to help keep the Wiki progressing cleanly. Thanks!
I have given Bureaucratic Rights to Emerald103 and they are the primary Admin on this community. When I look for an admin, I look for someone who is actively editing, providing good information (and not just correcting my bad spelling and grammar errors) and treats other users with respect. (Want to see an example of how NOT to treat users, hang out in Discussions. I have banned several users there as of late for breaking our TOU.)
After reading the Help pages, if you are still interested in becoming an Admin or Moderator, let Emerald103 know. I will still be around to help out and moderate when work allows but For Honor is not my primary task at the moment. I like to see our communities have 2-3 Admins at any time. This means a user generally has at least one Admin they can reach for help and questions. If you do become an Admin, be sure to include fellow Admins in any decisions that would affect the entire community, such as policy creation or full page deletes. Either position would include moderating Discussions.
I monitor multiple communities but my current tasks are primarily at Mass Effect Wiki for the next month. I will continue to help out here as I have time. Feel free to voice any concerns or questions you may have, but for anything directly wiki related, talk with Emerald103 first. Thanks!
Just a fair warning. I'm trying to get create a new template format. Since the main characters have different possible appearances I'm trying to create an info box that allows you to tab through the images. However, since I'm still relatively new at using this, I'm still doing a lot of experimenting on how to make it work so you might find a random and useless template lying around (since I don't want to touch the already existing ones).
LOL Alright, as long as you are using the Portable Infobox format. I consider myself decent with them and considered changing up the Character one but haven't had the time. If you need help, let me know. You might also find some tips and tricks that are useful on our Portability Wiki .
